Chop onion and jalapeño into small pieces. I use my food processor and pulse 5 - 10 times.
Mix chopped veggies, ground turkey, egg, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
Use your hands to mix everything together well.
Heat up a skillet or griddle on high heat. As burgers start cooking turn down the heat to medium-high heat.
Grease skillet or griddle with a little vegetable or olive oil.
Use a 1/2 cup to measure out turkey burgers. Use your hands to form a patty.
Place on hot skillet and salt and pepper liberally.
Flip burger when you see a brown edge on the bottom.
Cook burgers twice on each side. The last time you flip them, on each side, put pressure with the back of the spatula to push out any water that might still be in the burgers.
When burgers are firm and easy to pick up with the spatula, they are ready to eat.
