  • 1 1/2 lb. Hamburger
  • 1/2 Cup Onion
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 tsp. Chili Pepper
  • 8 oz. Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. Basil
  • 1/2 tsp. Oregano
  • 1 1/2 Cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Cans Crescent Rolls, 8 per package
  • 1 Tbsp. Milk
  • 1 tsp. Sesame Seeds

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Chop onions into small pieces then add them to the hamburger and brown on medium heat in a skillet.
  • When the onions are translucent , drain off the grease. THIS is really important.
  • Add the tomato sauce and seasonings.
  • Separate the crescent rolls on the perforated lines and lay them out on a cooking sheet in a sunburst pattern.
  • Use your fingers to really push each piece of dough together.
  • Spoon the meat mixture over the dough and sprinkle on grated cheese.
  • Fold up the pieces of dough over the meat and cheese mixture.
  • Seal as you go by pinching the dough pieces together.
  • Brush on a layer of milk and then sprinkle on sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 30 minutes.
  • If top is browning too fast, put a piece of tin foil over it and finish baking.
