Watermelon Fries with Fruit Dip are all the rage this summer! They are perfect for dipping and have easy access for little, and big, fingers. If we are going to eat Watermelon Fries with Fruit Dip then we better have some fry sauce (I mean fruit dip) to go with them. I have lots of fruit dip recipes in this post. Some have cream cheese and marshmallow fluff, but others use yogurt and Cool Whip or whipping cream.
Watermelon Fries are easy to cut and make. These are simply made by cutting the watermelon in sticks like French fries. One of the things I love is how easy they are to arrange on a serving platter. Due to their geometric design they stack and plate very easily.

How To Make Watermelon Fries with Fruit Dip
1. Cut the rind off the watermelon or cut the meat of the fruit out of the rind, my personal favorite. Cut the watermelon into fourths. Use a larger knife, like a chef’s knife to cut the fruit out of the watermelon rind. You will need to cut between the fruit and the rind on both sides of the watermelon. I usually need to cut several times each time going a little deeper into the watermelon.
2. Once the watermelon flesh is out or off the rind, set the flat side down on your cutting surface. Turn the quarter of the watermelon so the rounded edge is at the top. Cut slices that are about 1/2 inch through from the rounded edge to the flat edge. I usually can get about four cuts.

3. Now turn this sliced watermelon, a quarter turn, so you can slice 1/2 inch across the slices making French Fry sized pieces. You will have the rounded ends that will not really work, so just give those to your kids to let them snack on. When you cut across the layers you just made, you will begin to see the French fry watermelon sticks appear.

4. Now that you have your cut watermelon, let’s turn to the fruit dip. I had so much fun making so many different recipes for fruit dip. One thing to know is there are four basic recipes.
a. Cream cheese with marshmallow fluff and then flavorings.
b. Cream Cheese with yogurt and then flavorings.
c. Marshmallow Fluff with Cool Whip then flavorings
d. Yogurt with Cool Whip then add flavorings.
5. Two of the recipes use cream cheese and the other two do not. So for those of you who do not like cream cheese, I will be so happy to know there are fruit dip recipes just for your palate.
6. All of these fruit dips are easy to make. Simply use a hand blender to mix everything together or you can use a wire whisk.
7. When making fruit dips with cream cheese, I would suggest beating the cream cheese until smooth. Then add the marshmallow fluff and mix together before adding the flavorings.
