Appetizers

Can a party really start without an appetizer? Sometimes I make an appetizer for dinner. There are so many great ways to start a meal and here are just a few. I am adding new recipes all the time. Keep coming back to find new appetizers to add to your menu.

Tomatoes and garlic cloves coated with olive oil, rosemary, thyme and salt and pepper. Roasted until the tomatoes have caramelized and the garlic is translucent. Serve on goat cheese and then scooped up on deliciously toasted French bread.

Cowboy Salsa is an appetizer made with corn, black beans and black eyed peas. Mix with some fresh tomatoes and cubed avocado and you have an amazing meal. Toss with a package of dry Italian salad dressing. Then top it off with chopped cilantro, olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Baked crescent rolls covered with cream cheese mixed with mayonnaise, sour cream and spices then covered in veggies cut very small and spread evenly.

Grape jelly mixed with chili sauce and poured over the top of frozen meatballs and then cooked on low in a slow cooker.

Jalapeño Pepper Jelly
Light chip and dip recipe with cottage cheese, cucumbers, a hint of mayo and spices that give it just the right taste. Serve with potato chips or celery sticks.

Meat Queso
Frito Pie made with Frito chips, warm chili, melted cheddar cheese with tablespoons of pico de gallo, avocados and sour cream on top. YUM!

7 Layer Greek Dip with a base of onion and chive cream cheese with hummus spread on top. Then fresh tomatoes and cucumbers diced up small and marinated in Italian Salad Dressing. Then sprinkle on some Feta and you are ready to go, quick and easy!
